The camp is open to students ages 14-21 who are currently VR-registered and seeking to participate in our structured training and counseling sessions.
Yes, participation is free of charge, provided that the student is currently registered with Vocational Rehabilitation (VR).
Transportation & Pick-Up/Drop-Off:
Goulds, Homestead, Naranja, Florida City, Princeton, Perrine, Cutler Bay, Palmetto Bay, and South Miami Heights
The services are structured into the following categories:
Work Readiness Training: 5 hours
Job Exploration Counseling: 5 hours
Work-Based Learning Experience: 5 hours
Self-Advocacy (SA): 2.5 hours
Counseling on Enrollment Opportunities: 2.5 hours
Dress comfortably and casually! You will be participating in interactive activities and moving around, so wear whatever makes you feel confident and ready to learn.
